Video: Behind the scenes of production Microsoft's Surface Touch Coverce

Microsoft has released a behind the scenes video highlighting the Surface's TouchCover keyboard. Microsoft's first joint venture with a pressure sensative keyboard back in 2003. While thought the design was cool, they do not feel it's ready for prime time.
The goal is to develop an ultra-thin keyboard to function as a laptop keyboard. Enter the tablet Surface and the need to have a cover doubles as a keyboard.
Microsoft has put a lot of thought and work into both the 3mm thin TouchCover and 6mm TypeCover. Those who get their hands on the Surface to be impressed with the performance of the keyboard. We will soon see if it is a positive impression brought to the public this Friday when the Surface of the eye.

Experience The Surface of Microsoft

Surface's unique 10.6-inch display in full effect.

From left to right: a speaker grille, micro HDMI, and full-size USB 2.0 port.

Surface's built-in kickstand tilts it back about 10 degrees.

The microSD port is hidden quite effectively by the disengaged kickstand. Only when it engages is the memory port revealed.

The many colors of Touch Cover.

Surface works fairly well on your lap, just make sure you don't lean over it. That kickstand will disengage in a flash.

Soft and smooth is the bottom of Touch Cover. Soft, smooth...and soft.

They actually remained attached, despite the power of gravity.

Surface does not house a GPS. So why am I outside using it? And why does it look like Italy?

The split-screen features lead to true productivity.

Your Metro global settings are called PC settings. More options here and less in Desktop would be nice.

I shouldn't have to access the Desktop's control panels to change these options. They should be integrated into the Metro interface.

No automatic keyboard pop up for you!

Tapping on Games brings you here and not to a list of games in your tablet's library as it should. A clearer distinction between games on the Windows Store and Xbox games would be nice.

So far, the most useful apps are included with Surface and all Windows RT tablets.

Like most digital video libraries, both SD and HD versions are available.

Unless a site has been greenlit by Microsoft for Flash on IE 10, you won't see it.

It's no Riptide GP, but I guess it'll have to suffice.

Surface's back camera captures fine images of monster statues.
